Depth of Field

  • Creating the depth of field seen with any photo specifically with a subject and background scenery. Creating shallow depth takes a small aperture and being short distance from the subject, this blurs the background and foreground to focus on just the subject close-up. Good depth of field happens with a wider range of the lens, this blurs more of the foreground and background, focusing on the subject.

Capturing Motion and Action

Capturing motion in an image can create a sense of immersion into a photograph. A moment in time captured forever, the perfect action shot, or something of movement. Taking n action blur photo can be interesting. With a slow shudder speed and dim light, any motion captured will seem blurred much like tot he naked eye. Action photos want to be bright to capture the entire action without blur. Though the two are similar, they both have very different effects in photography.
